Tibetan Buddhist Institute has been helping Compassion in Action in Nepal since 2019.
We received an urgent plea from Geshe Sonam Wangchen, the founder of Hope and Challenge in Nepal, who was also a student of Kyabje Khensur Kangyur Rinpoche.
Hope and Challenge is an officially registered non-government organisation in Kathmandu, Nepal. The organisation supports individuals most in need through monetary assistance, aged care, schooling, free meals, job placements, and training.
Geshe Sonam has asked for 3,000 kilograms of rice and 900 kilograms of lentils to help feed 300 families. The number of people in need is increasing, and Geshela is struggling to maintain the amount of food required.
Current Need
Donations to this appeal will help provide basic food support for families in Nepal. Further details and updates can be added here as they are confirmed.
