Lay Tibetans on our scheme usually have a monk at Sera Monastery who is a relative and is responsible for getting your contribution to the sponsored person. The children usually live in one of the camps surrounding the monastery. Sometimes they are at a TCV (Tibetan Children’s Village School) which is for orphaned or one parent only children. These schools were set up by His Holiness Dalai Lama’s sister, and there are many such schools scattered throughout India.
